AUDITION INFORMATION
We welcome singers from junior kindergarten (age 4) through high school (grade 12) to audition for the Youth Choral Theater ensembles. If you missed our audition dates, you can still schedule an audition throughout the season (September-May) via e-mail.
At the audition, children will:
Auditions are age-appropriate and child-friendly.
The Youth Choral Theater of Chicago is comprised of children from all social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. Tuition for the year is applied toward the training and education members receive. Financial assistance is available; no child will be turned away due to financial need.
At the audition, children will:
- sing a song (verse/chorus) of their choice. (It can even be “Happy Birthday” or the ABC's). If you want piano accompaniment please bring sheet music for Mr. G.
- sing some warm-ups to demonstrate their ability to sing on pitch
- demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for singing!
